Why can't I access my Etsy account?

There are a few other reasons why you might not be able to access your Etsy account:

I don't have an Etsy account yet

If you checked out as a guest and need help with your order, you can message the seller through your order confirmation email. You can alsocreate an accountto claim your order and see your order status.

I received a security code email from Etsy

Etsy takes precautions necessary to safeguard your information and security codes are just one of the many ways we maintain the integrity of our marketplace.To prevent unauthorized access to your Etsy account, Etsy may periodically send you an email alert with a unique security code to be used as a one-time password.

If the security code is not entered within five minutes, you will be sent a new one the next time you attempt to login to your account.

Sellers trying to access their Etsy accounts may receive a pop-up message saying “We just sent you a code”. This means that a security code will be sent to the email linked to your Etsy account, and inputting the code correctly will grant you access to your account again. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk mail folder.

If you received these email alerts but didn’t try to sign in to your Etsy account we recommend that youreset your password.

I can’t sign in because of two-factor authentication

If you’re having trouble withtwo-factor authentication, try using one of the backup codes given to you when you enabled two-factor authentication.

I want to reopen an Etsy account I previously closed

If you want toreopen an Etsy accountthat you closed, you canreopen your account. If youpermanently closed and deleted your Etsy account, you cannot reopen it.

My account was suspended by Etsy

You can’t access a suspended account on the Sell on Etsy app or in a mobile web browser. To sign in to a suspended account, use a computer web browser.
